Cyclocruze 28- 2011
This year saw the 28th annual Cyclocruze. Back to our usual slot of 2nd and 3rd July (first weekend of July), which we hope to continue in future years. We were very lucky for weather and brought back many stories. We were back on the Village Green this year, which proved very convenient. Many thanks go to the Cricket Club for loaning us their pavilion.
This year there are 3 charities we're raising money for. Jubilee Sailing Trust, Oakhaven Hospice and Help for Heroes. Last year we raised a small fortune, can we do better this year?
Presentation night 2011 - New Date: 25th November
This year's presentation night has been rescheduled to Friday 25th November 2011. Scheduled to start at 7:30. Representatives of the charities will be there to receive the cheques. Come along and find out how much you raised.
PLEASE, if you haven't already, get your monies in NOW, into the Nelson.
If you know of anybody who was on the ride 2011, please ask them whether they have handed their sponsorship money in - politely, of course.
Presentation night 2010
The presentation night for 2010, was on 11th November.
Josephine Hall of Jubilee Sailing Trust was there to be presented with a cheque for £2,800 for the charity - it is what it is all about.
Unfortunately Andy Jackson of Wave 105 was unable to make the presentation night due to unforeseen circumstances, but Cash for Kids will also be given a cheque for £2,800.
The collection tins this year raised nearly £400 for Help the Heroes.
A few more pound and we'd have hit six grand. More to aim for.
Cyclocruze 27- 2010
The 27th annual Cyclocruze has now happened. What a weekend. Very lucky for weather. Everybody accounted for. Lots to talk about - no long term injuries thankfully. Next up is the presentation night, where we can recall accounts of the weekend as well as presenting the cheques to the two charities.
Such accounts may include being distracted and riding into a traffic light, or seeing more ferries than Island over the weekend. There are more stories, which this website will tell, when we update the gallery - post your photos on the Facebook group and I'll copy them here for all to see.
So we'll see you at the presentation night?

You too can get involved from in the organisation, even in a little way, by attending the meetings. Remember the many hands make light work, which would benefit everyone. The last meeting
